Access via e-mail

Messages can be transmitted via e-mail to a mobile phone (SMS/push), to a pager, to a fax (incl. attachement) or to a telephone (voice message) from your regular mail program (MS Outlook, Gmail, GMX etc.).

Important information about the e-mail interface: For security reasons, we strongly recommend that you specify a security string for each activated format. ► Here you will find detailed information on this

1. Setup:

Activate in the menu 'Account settings'-> 'Email access' the option 'allow messages via e-mail'.

Allowed sender addresses: Here you can define which e-mail sender addresses are allowed to send a message via eCall to e.g. a mobile phone.

2. SMS settings:

Here is where you define whether the recipient receives the specified number 'Reply to number:' or a number from eCall (SMS reply via eCall) as the sender number. In the second variant the receiver has three days to respond to this number, so that the reply can be delivered to the sender.

3. Settings for push messages

Here is where you define whether the recipient receives the specified number 'Reply to number:' or a number from eCall (SMS reply via eCall) as the sender number. In the second variant the receiver has three days to respond to this number, so that the reply can be delivered to the sender.

4. Fax settings:

Here you have the possibility to define options, such as the sender or the number of delivery retries. You have the same possibilities as in the web interface settings.
